The 2010 Competition Rules

•The competition is open to all amateur gardeners resident in the British Isles and Eire. For the purpose of this competition, ‘amateur’ means anyone not engaged in full-time horticultural employment.

•Employees of Garden News/Bauer Media and Thompson & Morgan and their families and associates cannot enter.

•Entrants must permit the judges to visit and photograph their gardens if the judges so wish. No prior warning of judging dates will be given.

•All entries must be clearly completed in ink or ballpoint pen.

•The closing date is Friday July 23 2010.

•All entrants will be sent a £5 Thompson & Morgan voucher.

• By entering the competition, entrants agree to the use of their names and addresses and the contents of their letters, and photographs in any subsequent publicity undertaken by Garden News, Thompson & Morgan or any of the other prize suppliers.

•Neither original letters nor photographs will be returned.

•The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

•No responsibility will be accepted for entries which have been lost, delayed or damaged. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery.

•By entering the competition, entrants agree to abide by the rules.

•Send all entries to  Gardener of the Year, Garden News, Media House, Peterborough Business Park, Lynch Wood, Peterborough PE2 6EA.
